Cynthia F. Huggins affectionately known as “Granny, Aunty & Cousin Cynthie”

Cynthia F. Huggins affectionately known as “Granny, Aunty & Cousin Cynthie” of Edward Street, Gouyave, St John who resided in Carnasie, Brooklyn NY, passed away on Thursday 11th April, 2024  at the age of 96

She had no siblings but lived through many wonderful years with many relatives, work & church friends

Throughout the years, she was blessed to take the place like a mother, grandmother & Godmother to many, Hence the reason she was called Granny by all their associates and friends

Prior to traveling to the US 1967, she worked as a Seamstress in Gouyave along with being a caregiver to her grandmother ZaZa who raised her.

During her many years in the USA she worked at the St Vincent Hospital NY as a dietitian and gave of her precious time to help care for the growing family of grandchildren enjoying the quality time with them whether it was babysitting,  going for walks or attending children shows at Madison Square Garden or Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan. Of course, she attended many graduations as they grew up and made her proud.

Not forgetting her awesome, exceptional  caregivers both at home and at the end workers & staff of Susan Smith McKinney Rehab facility

Cynthia Huggins the matriarch of the family is now resting peacefully in God's arms. She was a kind hearted, caring person who also loved to dance and will be greatly missed by the family and all whose paths she crossed and impacted.

RIP Granny, Aunty, Cousin Cynthie, you've earned your wings doing what you enjoyed in the best way you knew.
