Marva Straker, also known as 'Teacher Marva' of Maran, St. John, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at the age of 60.

She was the beloved daughter of: Catherine Gloria Straker and Zepherin Chiddick of Darbeau, St. George, Loving mother of: Lavon Straker Ross who resides in the UK and Tanika Straker Teacher at JW Fletcher Catholic Secondary school,  Cherished grandmother of: Jerdai Ross and Donnica Ross, Mother-in-law of: Daniel Ross.
