Velma Francelyn George was born to the union of Charlotte Decoteau and Joseph Ramdhanny in Pointz Field, St. Patrick, Grenada. She passed peacefully the morning of July 5, 2024 after a gradual decline in health.

She was the mother of: Bernice George, Jilda Lawrence, Shirlyn George, Finley George, Ferdinand George and Loreen George-Vu. Mother in law of: Kenrith Lawrence, Nhan Vu, Dr. Lysbeth Germain-George and Brenda George.  Grandmother of: Dondre, Denisha, Jalen, Khalid, Jonathan, Chelsea, Charmaine and Larry.

Sister of: Franklin Decoteau in the UK and Iris Burke in Texas, Aunt of: Ann, Patsy and Julie in Texas, Lillian in the UK, Joanne in Grenada, Veronica and Lydia in Trinidad. Don in California, Ferdinand and Gregory in Texas, Kenny and Clyde in Trinidad.
